How to say in Japanese: Present
Do you know that present in English have 2 meanings?
Present means 今 ima、現在 genzai (now)
Present means プレゼントpurezento、贈り物 okurimono(gift)
And I always like the following phrases that link up the 2 meanings beautifullly.
Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is mystery
Today is a gift....that is why it is called present.
現在は贈り物である。。。だからプレゼントと呼ばれている。
genzai ha okurimono de aru ... dakara purezento to yobareteiru
