My name is jonway. Welcome to picturelearning !!!
First of all, thank you for visiting picturelearning.
When I first started picturelearning, a lot people have doubted that this will work.
Despite the difficulties, it managed to slowly grow into a pretty neat pictureblog that not only offers plenty of pictures but also providing useful information in learning Japanese language.
I started learning Japanese 5 years ago and spent 2 years in Tokyo.
As a non-native Japanese speaker, I understand how difficult it is to learn Japanese especially for those not within Japan themselves. Time spent on classes and courses are limited to very few hours per week and takes up a pretty high cost. What you learnt in that few hours would probably be forgotten in the next few hours and your money would be spent for nothing. That`s quite demotivating, don`t you think?
This is why I created picturelearning - a fun pictureblog that teaches Japanese for free. You learn something in each post as you enjoy the pictures I took with my little camera. At the end of each post, there is a simple lesson with some points to ponder, quotes, "do you know" info, etc as examples.
Learning is fun. It should be fun. You learn more when you are having fun.
That is what this site is about.
This site may not be perfect (read Disclaimer), but I am doing my best as I am learning to make it better and having fun too.
